Perseus' New Digs...for the moment

Perseus the Betta Splendens is trying out my new tank.  He LOVES it, and it is a lot of fun to see him so active.  Every betta should have the opportunity to live, if only for a brief time, in a tank so large.  He is so well trained for coming to the surface for food that it is no difficulty feeding him, even in 46 gallons!  Here's a pic of him with Lilly watching very attentively.

This was pretty much her reaction to the betta in the first place, now she's interested because he is suddenly in a new location.  What a weirdo.

Purchased a Rubber Lip Plecostomus (Chaestoma milesi) today from work and found out that most of the fish I am looking to purchase for my tank are on sale for the next month.  Yippee!  Mr. Pleco is doing a great job already, exploring the left piece of driftwood and nibbling on the filamentous algae that I have growing on my driftwood.  He's got a lot of work to do, though I am planning on supplementing with algae wafers and green veggies.  Also got 5 small amazon swords (echinodoras amizonicus) and placed them around the tank to help finish the cycling process and compete with the algae.  Perseus' moss ball (Aegagropila linnaei) is also in the tank until I move him back into his 1.5 gal.  Here is a pic:

That's all for now.  Will still be driving carriage downtown this week until the new year.
